The following is a listing of those covenants that the Board has been recently notified with regard to current violations:
•Parking on the street - cars must be parked in the garages and/or driveway. This has particularly become an issue on the narrower streets that serve as main routes of access to and from the neighborhood.
•Trash cans on the street for days - trash cans must be put out the evening before trash pick-up and removed promptly to an area not visible from the street.
•Grass clippings being placed on street - grass clippings should be placed in bags and placed on the street for pick-up with regular garbage pick-up on Wednesday mornings.
•Weeds & cutting grass - lawns must be maintained at all times; i.e. mowed and weeds controlled.
Much can be said about covenants, but whether you like covenants or not a neighborhood like Grove Hill needs covenants to help maintain our property values and our neighborhood’s overall appearance. The Covenants were in place when construction began in Grove Hill and before the first home was sold, however, from time to time, it becomes necessary to remind our neighbors that we do have covenants and to point out some things that may not be in compliance. Monthly the Board receives multiple complaints concerning covenant violations that affect our neighborhood. The Board reviews these complaints and issues letters to homeowners in violation, at which time most neighbors begin the process of complying.
The Board, recommends that residents try and resolve covenants issues among themselves in a neighborly manner, however, if this cannot be done, please contact the Board for assistance. To express your concerns of a violation, visit the resource page of the Grove Hill website to download and complete the Covenants Violation Notification Form.
